Shipping Policy

When we first started our business in 2010, we knew we would be shipping an item that was both fragile and perishable. We wanted to make sure that the chocolates that we spent so much time on taste, texture and appearance would arrive to the recipient in the best possible condition. That's one of the reasons why we "make fresh to order".

We put the same thought and care that go into crafting EHChocolatier’s confections into ensuring that they arrive at their destinations fresh, beautiful and ready to be enjoyed. We’ve employed a rigorous testing process to perfect our shipping method so you can order our chocolates from anywhere in the U.S. at any time of the year including during warm weather months.  

**Please make every effort to notify the recipient that a package will be arriving, as we cannot be responsible for items left unattended in warm weather.

Once the package has left our hands, we cannot assume responsibility for the following:

  • Delays caused by the shipping company
  • Damage or theft of packages after the package has been delivered to the specified address
  • Returned or delayed packages due to an incorrect or undeliverable shipping address
  • Packages left unattended outside in warm weather

We will ship within 1- 4 business days from the time the order is placed.* ​

Orders are shipped through USPS Priority.  The shipping time line given (i.e. 2-day, 3-day, etc.) is only an estimateUSPS doesn’t guarantee delivery within that timeframe.  During most of the year, it is a very accurate indicator of delivery time, but around any holiday, it will most likely NOT arrive in the timeframe listed. 

We can provide expedited delivery service through UPS if you contact us directly after placing your order.  Please keep in mind, this does not expedite the process by which we fulfill the order so it will still take 1-4 days before shipment occurs.  Also note, all delivery carriers (fedex, ups, USPS) are no longer guaranteeing ANY of their services including overnight / Next Day.

You will receive a shipping confirmation via email with your tracking number once your order has been processed to be mailed. You are able to track your order online after it has been scanned in by USPS on the day it is shipping or by clicking the tracking number provided in your email confirmation.

Can I order online and pick up chocolates at your shop?

Yes!  This is available for MA residents only.  Choose “You Will Pick Up” under shipping options when placing your order.  Please note it can take 1-4 days to complete the order.  We will notify via email once the order is ready for pick up at our store.

If this is a time sensitive order, please contact us directly to see if we are able to fulfill the order the same day.

How do you ship orders?

Do you ship to P.O. Boxes or international addresses?

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes and only ship within the continental U.S. at this time.

How do you ship chocolates in the summer or to warm climate?

Since we strive to have our products arrive to you in perfect condition, we take special care when shipping during warm months. From May 1 - October 1, and year round to warm climates including, but not limited to Arizona, Texas, Florida, Southern California, etc. we provide warm weather packaging (insulated lining and ice packs) with USPS Priority (1-3 business days) or UPS Next Day shipping. For this reason, shipping during warmer months will be more expensive than during the winter months. 

We strongly suggest Next Day shipping if your order is shipping to a hot climate (above 85 F).  If we feel that it is not safe for the chocolates to be shipped due to melting risk, we will contact you directly to make alternative plans.

Summer is the most expensive time to ship chocolates and we will only pass along to you the actual cost of packaging materials and shipping.
