EHChocolatier wins “Six Star Award: ‘Grand Master Chocolatier” in the Best of Chocolatiers & Confectioners in America Awards presented by the International Chocolate Salon.
The International Chocolate Salon Awards for the Best Chocolatiers and Confectioners in America are based on the combined total number of Gold and Silver Awards received by each entrant in the previous year's TasteTV Chocolate Salons, as well as in the standalone Chocolate Salon Award Competitions.
Co-founders, Elaine Hsieh and Catharine Sweeney, have been crafting chocolate creations together since 2010. Since then, they have been recognized as one of the '10 Best American Small-Batch Chocolate-Covered Caramels’ by the New York Times, ‘Top 10 Chocolatier in North America’ by Dessert Professional Magazine, and ‘Best Chocolate in the U.S.’ by Food & Wine.
One of the winning creations is their Lemon Tart Bonbon offered annually for Mother’s Day. Tart lemon curd is homemade with white chocolate and buttery pâte sucrée or sweet dough. The tart won gold in the Best Taste and Most Unique categories in the Chocolate Salon Award Competition for ‘Best White Chocolate’.Hsieh and Sweeney also won several awards in the International Chocolate Salon Awards for their Brown Butter Toffee Almond made with deeply browned butter and sliced almonds, covered in both dark and milk chocolate, sliced almonds and fleur de sel. The Judging Panel consisted of National and Regional Magazines, Newspaper and Blog Editors, Topic Experts, Local Chefs and Food Gurus. The toffee was also a sofi Award finalist in 2016.
“We’re inspired by unusual flavors and textures and the beauty of the products that we make,” Hsieh said. “We pride ourselves in not just creating high-quality products, but also delivering consistency. We are always pleased when our hard work pays off.”
EHChocolatier's Mother’s Day Collection featuring the Lemon Tart Bonbons launches in early April.
